The New York State Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is pleased to announce a new scholarship for a student of healthcare informatics. Established and funded by the HIMSS New York Chapter, this scholarship is awarded to a HIMSS student member who exhibits academic excellence and future leadership potential in the healthcare information and management systems industry. New York student members are all encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
The amount of the scholarship is $5,000 and is given annually. Recipients will receive an all-expense paid trip to the Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition (some restrictions may apply). New York Chapter Scholarship recipients are appointed to the Student Liaison role on the Chapter Board.Criteria:

The 2011-2012 Scholarship Call for Applications will August 1st and close September 30th, 2011. Applications sent prior to or after the call will not be accepted.
