Purpose
The Chapter Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates significant leadership, extraordinary contributions to HIMSS Chapters, the Society and a commitment to the HIT industry.
Established: 2004
Eligibility
Nominees must:
- Be a HIMSS member in good standing for at least 3 consecutive years.
- Be a HIMSS Chapter Leader for at least one full year.
- Have demonstrated innovative leadership and made significant contributions to strengthen the Chapter.
- Represent the highest standards of leadership in information technology in healthcare.
- Be respected and recognized as a role model by his/her peers.
The Nomination Process
- Nominations may be received from the individual, Chapter Board, any member, staff or outside party
- Nominations must be received using either the online nomination form.
- Award recommendations are sent to the HIMSS Board for consideration and final approval
The Chapter Leader of the Year Award Consists of:
- Symbol of Recognition
- Press release
- Invitation to the Annual Awards Dinner with (1) complimentary ticket
