The Arizona Chapter & The Greater Chicago Chapter
Purpose
While the national HIMSS serves many high-level purposes and provides many valuable services to its members, HIMSS chapters also make many noteworthy contributions to the professional lives of their members and to the national HIMSS. The Chapter Innovation Awards is designed to recognize innovation and quality practices in HIMSS Chapters, promote recognition within the Chapter community, across Chapters and between Chapters and HIMSS. The Chapter Innovation Awards also allows Chapters to share best practices, enhance communication among HIMSS Chapters and achieve the Chapter's Mission.
Eligibility
Chapter Innovation Awards can be made to regular HIMSS chapters or to student chapters.
Award Frequency and Timing
Chapter Innovation Awards are given every year at the HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition.
Large Chapters: Grand Prize, 1st Runner Up
Small Chapters: Grand Prize, 1st Runner Up
Criteria
Chapter Innovation Awards can be made for a single instance of special contribution or for a sustained contribution, and for contributions to the local chapter's service area and membership or to the national HIMSS.

Brief overview of the chapter's membership and service area
A concise description of the individual or sustained contribution that causes the contribution to be worthy of special recognition by HIMSS
