HITS is a new and innovative IT certificate program designed specifically for professionals in the healthcare field.  HITS provides learners with a comprehensive overview of the basic uses of IT in healthcare today.  The program targets all healthcare professionals, regardless of experience, who aim to gain a deeper understanding of the important relationship between healthcare and technology.  In addition, HITS underscores the impact of increased overlap between the two fields while highlighting administrative and clinical best practices in health information technology. The course consists of three interactive units each featuring multiple learning modules outlined below:
