The HIMSS Federal Health Community is a complimentary networking platform and community of profession for HIMSS members who are also Federal Government employees. The Community wil work to foster cross-agency information sharing and for members to network, share new ideas on how health IT can be used to improve healthcare delivery by the federal government, and provide leadership, guidance and domain expertise to HIMSS activities, industry initiatives.
The Community meets monthly via teleconference to receive updates from federal colleagues focused on health IT initiatives impacting federal stakeholders. At HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition, the Community sponsors three Federal Health Community Synergy Sessions, three back to back educational sessions impacting federal health IT stakeholders.
The Community also hosts invitation networking events at HIMSS Annual Conference and the Annual Government Health IT Conference in Washington DC.
