The annual CEO IT Achievement Award recognizes one or more healthcare industry chief executive officers who demonstrate leadership and commitment to using information technology to advance their healthcare organization's strategic goals.
Modern Healthcareand HIMSS are proud to announce the 6th annual CEO IT Achievement Award recipients. The recipients will be honored as the 2008 CEO IT Achievement award recipient during a general session presentation at the HIMSS Summit June 9-10 in Washington DC. The award recipients will speak about their successful IT implementations following the award presentation during the session.

Eligibility Criteria
Open to CEOs of any type of healthcare organization. The award is not open to vendors or consultants that sell IT goods or services to healthcare provider organizations.
Nomination Process
Submissions must be made by the nominated CEO's organization and submitted electronically. The 2008 nominations were open from December until February 29th.
Timetable
The recipient(s) of the 2008 CEO IT Achievement Award will be announced and profiled in a special supplement of Modern Healthcare magazine. The recipient(s) will be honored as the 2008 CEO IT Achievement award recipient during a general session presentation at the HIMSS Summit June 9-10 in Washington DC. The award recipient will be invited to speak about their successful IT implementations at one of the keynote sessions.
