Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Position Purpose

HIMSS Media, a growing media organization based in Portland Maine, has an immediate opportunity for a Sales and Marketing Coordinator based in their head office at Two Monument Square.  In this role, you will work closely with the sales and marketing teams on sales enablement, database management, proposal development, sales reporting and more. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about the B2B media landscape and develop their digital marketing skills.  

Primary Accountabilities

SALE ENABLEMENT

  • Assist in sales enablement functions, including management and organization of marketing materials, facilitating with marketing campaigns, building and analyzing distribution lists, deploying emails through Pardot and providing post-campaign metrics and lead/call reports.
  • Understand the full suite of products and solutions offered by HIMSS Media.
  • Assist with the creation of PowerPoint proposals for sales team.

DATABASE MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain and manage our Salesforce contact database. Includes monitoring sales team activity to ensure accuracy and proper tagging protocol are being followed, conducting over all database management and leadership, acting as our business unit’s SF point person and attending the monthly company-wide Salesforce calls to assist/offer suggestions to other business units as needed.

LEAD MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and distribute internet leads to the sales team. Includes logging and tagging leads in Salesforce.
  • Upload and manage new prospect lists into Salesforce. Ensure data is tagged accurately so it can be retrieved effectively
  • Manually sort prospect lists by territory, named account, and rep on a frequent basis.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

  • Research company executives/marketing contacts for prospecting purposes on request. Tag marketing decision makers in SalesForce. Research account HQ in order to assign to correct rep
  • Perform competitive assessments as needed. Including but not limited to: product suite, pricing/rate structure, circulation, positioning as it relates to the HIMSS Media suite of solutions

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Assist sales team with insertion orders placement, order entry, etc., as needed.
  • Understand projections process in Salesforce and provide back up to Sales Analyst as needed.
  • Assist both sales and marketing teams with tradeshow coordination, including registering staff, reserving hotels and shipping materials.
  • Provide administrative support to both teams as needed.
