Position Purpose

Consider joining the talented staff at HIMSS as our Coordinator, HNA Sales. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Exhibit Sales Department and assist in the execution of sales strategies to achieve fiscal goals. Position is responsible for recording sales activity and producing accurate reports, including revenue forecasts for all product lines. Incumbent will develop and maintain sales pipeline tracking and reporting and will work closely with assigned HNA Business Development and sales staff to assist in achievement of fiscal goals and attracting new customers/business to HIMSS.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Coordinate client acquisition activity; acts as first point of contact for current and prospective clients, answers questions, updates sales systems (Personify, Salesforce) with contact information and escalates issues hands off to sales team for follow up.
  • Manages the sales contract process for sales team; reads and interprets contracts and collaborates with Legal and Sales Departments to create benefits/terms for HNA contracts; works with Finance Dept to reconcile contracted HNA revenue
  • Data collection and report generation. Develops tracking techniques, reporting formats and evaluation criteria used to produce accurate and timely revenue forecasts for General Manager, HNA Sales and VP, Sales; utilizes Access and Excel to report on contracted HNA sales and revenue.
  • Utilizes Salesforce to support sales team with pipeline tracking and reporting; creates dashboards and reports for department use.
  • Support Annual Conference by producing sponsorship deliverables, including logo gathering and website consistency; plan and execute booth selection process for exhibitors.
  • Supports Business Development/Sales Staff Sales activities including developing informational webinars/Powerpoint presentations, internal and external correspondence. Assist with coordinating campaigns with marketing staff to include audience identification, drafting and executing effective email pushes, and administering direct mail with marketing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of successful and progressive experience in sales support and account management within trade show, event sales and research/data analytics sales.
  • Customer focused with assertive, self-confident personality.
  • Well-developed analytical skills; ability to think critically and solve problems in a complex environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written; effective presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and sales software (Salesforce).
