Position Purpose

Consider joining the talented staff at HIMSS Media as our Manager, Audience Marketing.  HIMSS Media is a media group exclusively on healthcare and technology markets.  Through its suite of market-leading brands, such as Healthcare IT News, Healthcare Finance News, and MobiHealthNews, HIMSS Media delivers news, analysis and must have information to an audience of senior healthcare and technology influencers.  HIMSS Media is also the leading producer of important live events, such as the Privacy & Security Forum, Patient Engagement Summit, Revenue Cycle Solutions Summit and Big Data and Healthcare Analytics Forum.

As our Manager, Audience Marketing, you will be responsible for being the primary point of contact for all lead and demand generation programs and services delivered to clients of HIMSS Media. This role oversees and manages the production, optimization, and successful delivery of all lead programs. Ensuring the appropriate schedule, budget and resources are in place to execute successfully and on-time.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Developing marketing programs and schedules for custom, sophisticated lead generation programs. This includes developing, managing and optimizing marketing automation tactics, such as email marketing, online advertising, retargeting, social media and landing pages to ensure programs meet defined goals and objectives.
  • Outlines, manages and secures required budget and resources to execute marketing programs successfully. This includes: supplemental marketing tactics (telemarketing, paid retargeting, third-party deployments); marketing copywriter freelancers, and consultant support for complex campaigns.
  • Reviewing all marketing program materials that submitted (email and telemarketing copy, content assets, etc.) and ensure they meet requirements and determines if they need to be optimized or passed to custom marketing solutions.
  • Managing production, optimization and successful delivery of lead programs with direct reports.
  • Assigning, tracking, analyzing, escalating and accelerating day-to-day execution of work in project management system (JIRA). Tracking and analyzing includes reviewing key marketing and fulfillment metrics and reports in Marketo and JIRA, while escalating and accelerating programs includes putting additional budget and/or resources behind a struggling program to ensure on-time and successful fulfillment.
  • Improves and iterates on lead generation programs, funnel processes and efficiencies, and continuously experiment with more efficient ways to convert incoming and existing leads. Whether it is through retargeting, social media, SEO/SEM, house or PPC ads, landing pages, or progressive forms.
  • Oversees and manages processes for pulling, cleansing and packaging leads for clients to ensure timely delivery and highest quality lead reporting in the industry.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned that contribute to the effectiveness of the department and to accomplish strategic goals and objectives.
  • Interfaces and communicates with client services, sales and senior management to provide prompt answers to requests and ensure external client satisfaction. Communicate with all departments.
  • Continually forecasts and tracks program fulfillment. This includes tracking efficiency of closing programs, program performance and cost of delivery of programs.
  • Packages and performs Lead Quality Assurance for highly sophisticated/key client programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Communication, or equivalent experience, in ____ field.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of related work experience in B2B Marketing (Health IT a plus), Marketing Automation, Lead Generation.
  • Ability to think about process and scale above all else to work efficiently and effectively with all clients collectively and cohesively.
  • Proven knowledge and success in Lead Generation (B2B a plus)
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to achieve results in a complex environment

  • Previous experience in a professional society, trade association or healthcare management
  • Marketo or similar database knowledge in the area of Lead Generation
  • Proficiency in database management & marketing automation Ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Knowledge of HTML, SEO, Google Analytics and marketing strategies beyond email.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
