Position Purpose

Consider joining the talented staff at HIMSS Analytics as our Marketing Coordinator. HIMSS Analytics is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).  HIMSS Analytics is a global healthcare advisor, providing guidance and market intelligence solutions that move the industry forward with insight to enable better health through the use of IT.  As a trusted healthcare research and advisory firm, the industry depends on HIMSS Analytics’ resources, benchmarks, predictive models and assessment tools to improve decision making regarding their IT strategic roadmap.

As our Marketing Coordinator, you will assist in marketing HIMSS Analytics products and services by assisting in the development and implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns and industry events participation. You will also maintain content on the HIMSS Analytics website ensuring all information is accurate and current.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Manage HIMSS Analytics Website which includes blog content maintenance, securing subject matter experts to provide topical content and ensure content is current with press releases, industry reports, product information and events calendar. Manage creation and placement of supporting banner ads.
  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of esthetic design concepts. Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites. Create multiple marketing pieces, including emails, micro-sites, landing pages, flash banners, and animated gif banners.
  • Assists with implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns by executing on defined strategies, plans, and objectives. Makes recommendations for campaigns including list segmentation, email distribution and social media placement. Assists with layout of brochures and other marketing products. Coordinate with social media staff to promote campaigns and to develop social media plans.
  • Manages industry event logistics including identify speakers and managing their speaking engagements. Works with staff to secure exhibit space and coordinate event by preparing materials, obtaining supporting collateral and shipping. Creates publicity plans to promote HIIMSS Analytics events.
  • Track marketing campaign results using key metrics i.e. open rates, click-thru rates, etc. Report results to Marketing Director and makes recommendations for future activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working in marketing with exposure to advertising campaigns.
  • Expertise using Adobe design products including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with trade show logistics.
  • Experience with CMS tool for Website updates.
  • Prior experience in tracking campaign metrics – i.e. open rates, click-thru rates, etc.
