Position Purpose

Consider joining the talented staff at HIMSS Analytics as our Relationship Associate.  HIMSS Analytics is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).  HIMSS Analytics is a global healthcare advisor, providing guidance and market intelligence solutions that move the industry forward with insight to enable better health through the use of IT.  As a trusted healthcare research and advisory firm, the industry depends on HIMSS Analytics’ resources, benchmarks, predictive models and assessment tools to improve decision making regarding their IT strategic roadmap.

As our Relationship Associate, you will develop, manage, and enhance relationships with the top Health System Providers and CIOs in order to strength relationships with HIMSS Analytics and increase the participation and quality of data provided in the data collection process. This position will assume ownership of the long term client relationship for assigned clients.  The Relationship Associate is responsible for understanding their assigned provider clients’ business needs, providing support, training, optimization for the CIO Benefits dashboard in Logic, Healthcare IT Advantage, evangelizing the use of the HIMSS Analytics Data Collection tool, and achieving a study participation rate of 60% while maintaining the overall customer relationship. This position is VITAL for ensuring the depth and quality of our Logic database, and directly contributes to retaining Logic customers and increasing the value proposition for subscribers.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Provide support to North America Top Health Systems as assigned.

  • Manage all clients to ensure their needs are met while maintaining an annual study tool participation rate of 60%.

  • Proactively engage in relationships with current client executives, management teams and end users to ensure they are aware and taking advantage of data related to their areas-of interest available through the CIO Benefits dashboard in Logic, notifying them of additional services that may meet future needs.

  • Educate clients on the benefits of HIMSS Analytics software solutions and train clients for optimal productivity.

  • Support Data Analytics and Product Development teams in testing new functionality.

  • Act as liaison between current clients and HIMSS Analytics staff

  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve existing processes.

  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned that contribute to the effectiveness of the department and to accomplish strategic goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to achieve results in a complex environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Effective listener.

  • Ability to articulate and to sell ideas and concepts

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.Strong personal integrity

  • Knowledge of CRM tools, such as Salesforce.com

  • Previous experience in a professional society, trade association or healthcare management

  • Customer focused with assertive, self-confident personality

  • Superior planning skills, both strategic and tactical

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships

  • Background or knowledge in information systems and technology is an asset

  • Ability to conduct successful product demonstrations, self-starter who takes initiative and can apply problem solving, deductive reasoning, critical thinking and creativity to derive sound solutions
