HIMSS Office of Advocacy and Public Policy was founded in February 2000 and focuses on equipping federal and state officials with the knowledge they need to implement appropriate policy and works with all interested stakeholders including individual members, corporations, and collaborating organizations to coordinate and advance healthcare IT and management systems through advocacy and public policy initiatives. Advocacy and Public Policy legislative and regulatory actions are guided by HIMSS Legislative Principles.

Mark Stevens Wins HIMSS Inaugural Advocacy and Public Policy Photo Contest

Congratulations to HIMSS Inaugural Advocacy and Public Policy Photo Contest winner, Mark Stevens, HIMSS Delaware Valley Chapter Advocacy Co-Chair!  More than 30 pictures were submitted from HIMSS members since the contest began in January.  HIMSS staff narrowed the contest down to five semi-finalists.  The Advocacy and Public Policy Steering Committee voting members chose the winner via secret online voting. Mark will receive an all expense paid trip to HIMSS 7th Annual Advocacy Day. View winning photos
