John Wade, FCHIME, FHIMSS
is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (VP/CIO) for Saint Luke's Health System (SLHS) of Kansas City, a multi-hospital (10 inpatient facilities) Healthcare provider servicing eastern Kansas and western Missouri within 150 miles of Kansas City.

Saint Luke’s received the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in November, 2003 and was awarded the Missouri Quality Award in 1995, 1999, and 2003, the only organization in Missouri to win this award three times. SLHS has been recognized since 1999 (6 consecutive years) as one of the “100 Most Wired” Hospitals and was the winner of the National Innovators Award for Technology in 2000. Computerworld Magazine has recognized SLHS since 2002 as one of the best 100 IT employers in the United States, finishing 45th, 7th and 27th respectively. Saint Luke’s also placed 29th on Information Week Magazine’s Innovators award in 2004.

Mr. Wade, prior to joining Saint Luke's, was a principal and national healthcare practice director with the consulting firm of Logica North America headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. Previously Mr. Wade has also served as the Senior Information Executive at the University of Alabama Health Systems at Birmingham, Northwestern Memorial Health System - Chicago and Children's Hospital Medical Center - Boston. Mr. Wade is an honor's graduate of Boston College where he pursued his Master's in Business Administration and is a Fellow of both HIMSS and CHIME. He has been a featured speaker at HIMSS, HFMA, NMHCC and National VHA conferences. He was recently recognized as one of the top 100 CIO’s in the US by Computerworld publications.

HIMSS Vice Chair
Victoria Bradley, RN, DNP, CPHIMS, FHIMSS
joined the company in the newly created role of CNIO in 2007, coming from Eclipsys client the University of Kentucky, Lexington. There, she was responsible for the hospital medical records department. She was also project director for the implementation of an enterprise-wide integrated clinical information system. Her experience also included system selection, contract negotiation, and evaluation.

Dr. Bradley is a recognized industry thought leader and frequent author and speaker. She is the recipient of the 2005 Informatics Nursing Leadership Award of HIMSS, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. She is currently vice chair of the HIMSS Board of Directors.

Previously Dr. Bradley was active for many years in the specialty of emergency nursing as an educator, director, speaker and author. She is a past president of the Emergency Nurses Association and the Emergency Nurses Foundation. She has received the Pillar Award of the ENA Foundation and the Judith C. Kelleher Award from ENA. 

As Eclipsys CNIO, Dr. Bradley brings her significant industry knowledge as well as her extensive experience in how Eclipsys clinical solutions support nurses and improve care delivery. Working with the Eclipsys Solutions Management Group and others throughout the company and its client base, Dr. Bradley is charged with ensuring that the company’s product, implementation and support strategies meet nurses’ evolving needs and wants.

Dr. Bradley received her bachelor and masters in nursing from Wright State University, Dayton, OH, and is the recipient of a Wright State University Wall of Fame Award. In 2005, she received a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky. This program, the first of its kind in the country, prepares expert clinical nurse leaders to change direct care practice or healthcare systems to address safety issues and to improve healthcare outcomes.

Chair Elect
Charles E. Christian, FCHIME, FHIMSS
is the Director of Information Systems and CIO of the Good Samaritan Hospital, a 98-year old free-standing, acute care, community hospital in southwest Indiana. Christian is responsible for all information technology activities throughout the enterprise; which includes Good Samaritan Hospital, Samaritan Center, Good Samaritan – Lincoln Trail Hospice, as well as several outpatient/outreach clinics. Christian is serving his 17th year in this role and his 35th year in healthcare.

Good Samaritan Hospital received the McKesson VIP Award in 2004, identified as a Solucient Top 100 Hospital – Quality Improvement Leader in 2005, listed as Most Wired (small and rural) in 2004 & 2005, and a 2006 recipient of the VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence.

Christian is a Fellow of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and sits on the HIMSS Analytics Board. Christian serves as the board liaison for the Enterprise Integration and Privacy & Security Steering Committees. Christian is a Fellow and charter member of CHIME and served on the CHIME BOD from 2003 through 2004. Christian is a charter member of the re-established Indiana Chapter of HIMSS and servers as a member of the board of directors. Christian is a member of the advisory board for Advance for Health Information Executives magazine, member of the Technology Advisory Committee for the Vincennes City Schools, and a member of the Curriculum Advisory Committee for Vincennes University.

Prior to joining Good Samaritan Hospital, Christian worked in healthcare IT for Compucare and Baxter Travenol, in both management and implementation roles. Christian started his career in healthcare as a Radiologic Technologist, serving in various Radiology roles for 14 years. Christian studied natural sciences at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lacrosse University. Christian has presented at the SHS Management Engineering Forum, HIMSS Annual Conference, and HIMSS Summer Conference.

Vice Chair Elect
Liz Johnson, FHIMSS
is the Vice President of Clinical Informatics for Tenet HealthSystem. In this capacity she has responsibility for the strategic vision and the tactical plan for all clinical systems used throughout the Tenet organization of 72 provider organizations. Today the clinical application suite of products for Tenet includes over 3,000 clinical applications and 5,000 custom interfaces. Under Ms. Johnson’s leadership, Tenet has developed and is implementing a comprehensive clinical informatics vision and strategy. Liz speaks nationally and internationally on clinical applications particularly focused on their strategic use as a tool for enhanced patient safety.

Prior to joining Tenet, Liz was and Executive Vice President and National Practice Leader for HIPAA for Healthlink, Inc. As a nationally recognized HIPAA expert, she has shared her in-depth knowledge of HIPAA in over 150 presentations. A partial list of her HIPAA speaking engagements includes ACHE, CHIME and HIMSS. Additionally, Ms. Johnson has directed numerous HIPAA consulting engagements, including readiness assessments, offices of project management, HIPAA planning and training. During her 6 years as an executive with Healthlink, Liz performed a variety of management roles assisting in the migration of a small boutique consulting firm into a major consulting presence in the healthcare market.

With 30 years experience in executive and staff positions throughout provider organizations she understands provider operations from every perspective, and the role IT plays in enabling best practices to be deployed by healthcare providers.

Margret Amatayakul, RHIA, CHPS, CPHIT, CPEHR, FHIMSS is president of Margret\A Consulting, LLC and co-founder and member of the board of examiners of Health IT Certification. As an independent consultant, Margret brings over 35 years of dedication to advancing electronic health records to her clients. She provides health information technology consulting services to hospitals and clinics, newly forming regional health information organizations, and government agencies/contractors. She conducts training programs and writes extensively to share lessons learned that will help achieve clinical transformation through IT adoption. She recently published books on electronic health records for AHIMA, HC Pro, and MGMA, and has published on HIPAA-related topics for several medical specialty societies, AHIMA, AMA, BCBSA, and HC Pro.

Previous to her current activities, Margret “A” helped found and was the executive director of the Computer-based Patient Record Institute (CPRI), she held the position of associate executive director of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), she served as associate professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and was director of health information management services at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. She is currently adjunct faculty at the College of St. Scholastica in their health informatics masters program. She is active in standards setting organizations and is currently a member of the HIMSS board of directors.

Margret holds a bachelors of science degree from the University of Illinois at the Medical Center in health information management and a masters in business administration with concentrations in marketing and finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Barry P. Chaiken, MD has over 20 years experience in medical research, continuous quality improvement, risk management and patient safety. As founder of his own company, he worked on quality improvement studies and clinical investigations for the National Institutes of Health, the Framingham Heart Study, and Boston University Medical School.

Over the past 15 years Chaiken provided expertise in quality and patient safety to provider and payor organizations helping them utilize information technology to improve clinical and administrative activities. He has served as guest lecturer and consultant on topics including patient safety, clinician adoption of information technology, quality improvement and managed care. Chaiken also assisted hospitals and technology firms in the creation of medical software products and authoring of marketing communication materials.

Chaiken is board certified in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health as well as Health Care Quality Management. He is currently Associate Chief Medical Officer at BearingPoint, Inc., an international consulting company, where he provides thought leadership, assists in business development and offers clients his expertise in clinical transformation and quality improvement. Chaiken has delivered more than 50 CME lectures, and is currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Patient Safety, the Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management, and the journal of Patient Safety and Quality Healthcare. He currently writes a column on quality and technology for the journal of Patient Safety and Quality Healthcare.

Chaiken received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, NYC, his masters in public health degree in health services administration from the Harvard School of Public Health and his bachelors of arts degree in psychology from the University at Albany. He acquired his specialty training from the Centers for Disease Control as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer and from the New Jersey State Department of Health as a preventive medicine resident. He is also a Board Member and a Fellow of the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), and serves on the Policy Committee of the National Association for Health Information Technology.

John H. Daniels, FHIMSS, FACHE, CPHIMS, CHPS, is Chief Information Officer for Evolvent Technologies, Inc., a small, mission-focused technology services firm with corporate offices in Dulles and Falls Church, Virginia, and San Antonio, Texas.  Evolvent provides innovative technology solutions in enterprise information management, knowledge management, information assurance/cyber security, and technology support services.

John is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with over 20 years of military service. He served as Chief Information Officer of the USAF Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the first and only Air Force hospital named on the 25 Most Wired Small and Rural list by Hospital & Health Networks (2005 and 2006).  The hospital was also recognized as a 2006 Most Wired Supply Chain Innovator Award finalist.  John also served as Chair of the Air Force Medical Information Services Working Group driving the IT direction, standards, policies and procedures for 42,000 employees in 74 military treatment facilities around the world.

John was Senior Fellow and Vice President of IT Operations at the Harris County Hospital District in Houston, Texas before moving to Colorado Springs.  He has held CIO positions for other military medical organizations including DoD’s former Health Services Region 5 ensuring contract compliance and executing DoD’s IM/IT strategic plan for a $3.4 billion managed care support contract serving over 650,000 beneficiaries.

John also worked in clinical practice in both private and military settings.  He served as a mental health associate in outpatient military treatment facilities and in private psychiatric hospitals, and worked as a psychometrician in a private psychology practice.

John has served on the Board of Directors for two HIMSS state chapters, Ohio and Colorado.  He participated on the HIMSS National Health Information Infrastructure (NHII) task force and was chair of the HIMSS Air Force CIO Special Interest Group.  He also served as President and Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Fisher/Nightingale Houses, Inc., a charitable non-profit organization in Dayton, Ohio.  He is a recipient of the Modern Healthcare/Witt-Kieffer Up & Comer Award (2001), ACHE Regent’s Award (2003), AF Surgeon General Information Systems Team of the Year award (2005), and numerous military awards and medals.

John holds an A.A.S. degree in Allied Health Sciences from the Community College of the Air Force, a B.S. degree in Computer Science from West Texas A&M University, and a M.S.A. degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University.

John Hansmann, CPHIMS, FHIMSS is currently the Urban South Region Manager of Management Engineering for Intermountain Healthcare, Salt Lake City, Utah.  He has over 20 years of healthcare experience in operations, strategic and IT analysis.  His current focus is facilitating the development of standardized nursing care models and staffing practices, optimizing patient throughput, and leading the workflow analysis supporting Intermountain’s development of a state of the art clinical information system in partnership with GE Healthcare.

Mr. Hansmann is a Fellow of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS.)  He is the board liaison to both the Advocacy and Public Policy Steering Committee and the CPHIMS Technical Committee.  Mr. Hansmann has been an active member of HIMSS, serving on numerous committees such as CPHIMS committee (chair), Health Leadership Alliance Expert Panel, Annual Conference Education Committee, and elected member of the Nominating Committee.  He has been an annual conference paper reviewer/coach and presenter numerous times.  Mr. Hansmann was the author of two chapters in the HIMSS Guidebook Series:  Management Engineering.  In 2002, he received the prestigious HIMSS Leadership award.  Mr. Hansmann is also a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), and Diplomate within the Society for Health Systems (SHS), a society within IIE.  He has served in many different roles in IIE and SHS, culminating with being the national President for SHS in 1999/2000.

Mr. Hansmann currently serves on the Advisory Board for the school of Industrial Engineering at North Dakota State University, chairing the curriculum and healthcare subcommittees.  He is a frequent speaker at student chapter events, guest lecturer in the classroom and recently was the keynote speaker at the senior Capstone Banquet.  Mr. Hansmann also is the chair of the Logistics Committee for the Susan G. Komen Foundation Race for the Cure event in Salt Lake City.

Mr. Hansmann received his BSIE and MSIE from North Dakota State University.

C. Martin Harris, M.D., M.B.A., FHIMSS is the Chief Information Officer and Chairman of the Information Technology Division of Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, Dr. Harris is Executive Director of e-Cleveland Clinic, a series of e-health clinical programs offered over the Internet.

Dr. Harris’ interest and expertise in the area of improving the practice of medicine through the innovative application of information technology, is reflected in his numerous appointments to national technology organizations including:

  • Appointed to the President’s Commission on Care for America’s Returning Wounded Warriors
  • Health & Human Services Board of Regents of the National Library of Medicine
  • Elected HIMSS Board Member
  • Healthcare Information Technology Advisory Panel, which will serve as the Joint Commission’s principal expert resource on the evolution of the national healthcare infrastructure and the form, direction and speed of information technology adoption in healthcare organizations and related entities.
  • Presidential appointment to the Congressional Commission on Systemic Interoperability, which studies the steps required to develop a national health information network

Dr. Harris received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  His residency training in general internal medicine was completed at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  He completed a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar fellowship in General Internal Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and holds a Masters in Business Administration in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Joy Keeler, MBA, a member of MITRE Corporations leadership team, plays a lead role in the health IT activities of the company while assisting MITRE clients develop and implement strategies to realize organizational missions and goals. Formerly Deputy Director of AHRQ’s National Resource Center for Health Information Technology (NRC), Ms. Keeler played a lead role in developing the strategy, operational infrastructure, partnerships and overseeing daily operations of the large and complex multi-year project to support the deployment of health IT.

Prior to joining the NRC, Ms. Keeler was Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Chief Information Officer at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ms. Keeler led the 6 year strategic and technical drive to implement an advanced clinical information system with unprecedented clinician participation throughout the Medical Center and Health Sciences Colleges at the University of Illinois Medical Center. The Medical Center’s electronic health record was honored with the Nicolas E. Davies Award of Excellence in 2001 and most recently the Enterprise Value Award by CIO Magazine.

Prior to joining the University, Ms. Keeler worked in other aspects of healthcare information technology focusing her efforts on driving process change with technology, product development and delivery strategies for integrated healthcare networks with IBM, Baxter and Peat Marwick.

Ms. Keeler, a Florida native, has served in national advisory roles including Chair of the Nicholas E. Davies Award Committee, JCAHO Expert Panel on Health Information Technology, National Rural Health IT Conference Planning Committee, HIMSS Advocacy Committee, Advance for Health Information Executives Editorial Board and was recognized with the 2003 Excellence in Corporate IT Leadership Award. Most recently Ms. Keeler was elected to the HIMSS Board of Directors.

Jay Srini is currently the Chief Innovation Officer for UPMC Insurance Services Division and is responsible for developing the methods, tools and strategies that result in innovative health care solutions and positive consumer experiences. She will leverage her experience in information technology, research and leadership to provide total solutions to a quickly evolving health care methodology.

For the past four years, Jay has held the position of Vice President of Emerging Technologies for UPMC providing  strategic direction and input regarding emerging technologies and solutions to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to that  Jay was Managing Director for e-Health Initiatives at Internet Venture Works where she led technology and industry assessments of opportunities presented by strategic partners, investors and external sources and served in interim executive management roles for its' portfolio companies.

Jay Srini,  is an experienced professional with more than 20 years of hands on operational, technology and executive leadership experience. She has proven expertise in multiple industries (financial, manufacturing, logistics and healthcare) and diverse organizations that include startup, large brick and mortar as well as academic institutions. Her background includes extensive healthcare experience and very strong operational and technical experience encompassing strategic and tactical planning, product design and development, personnel management and organizational startup activities.

Jay has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from New York University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University and  her executive education also includes the Kellogs School of Businessss. She is an active board member of HIMSS, , Pennsylvania e-Health Initiative, MIT Forum, Rainbow Kitchen Community Services and Charter member of TIE Pittsburgh. Jay serves on the Deans advisory board School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.  She also serves  on the advisory board of several enterpreunerial companies and  on the advisory committee of several national healthcare related conferences.

Jonathan Teich, MD, PhD, FHIMSS
Dr. Jonathan Teich is chief medical informatics officer for Elsevier, the world's largest publisher of scientific, technical and health information. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard, and a board-certified attending physician in emergency medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), where he has practiced since 1983.  He has been active in medical informatics and health information technology for over twenty years.

At Elsevier, Dr. Teich’s responsibilities include leading the development of the vision, strategy, and broad product design to transform Elsevier’s huge content base and publication resources into multi-level electronic reference, highly interactive clinical decision support, and other knowledge-based tools to support direct clinical practice and healthcare delivery.  He also represents Elsevier in a variety of industry and government leadership councils on patient safety and quality of care, knowledge delivery, and clinical decision support.

Dr. Teich was the founder and first director of the BWH Center for Applied Medical Information Systems Research, and the Clinical Informatics Research and Development department at Partners Healthcare System.  He was the primary designer of many of BWH's award-winning clinical information applications, including the computerized physician order entry system, ambulatory record, clinical decision support systems, emergency medicine systems, and the Handbook electronic information library. 

Dr. Teich has authored or co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers, books, and editorials in the field of medical informatics and healthcare information systems.  He is the senior author of the recent eHealth Initiative consensus whitepaper, Electronic Prescribing: Toward Maximum Value and Rapid Adoption, and the government-sponsored expert report, Clinical Decision Support in Electronic Prescribing: Recommendations and an Action Plan.  He is a co-author of the book, Improving Outcomes with Clinical Decision Support: An Implementer’s Guide, published in 2005.

Dr. Teich co-chairs the panel responsible for the HHS-sponsored Roadmap for National Action on Clinical Decision Support.  He was the founder and first chair of the HIMSS Patient Safety and Quality of Care Steering Committee, and currently serves on its Board of Directors as well as the Clinical Decision Support workgroup. He is a board member of the eHealth Initiative, a member of the American Health Information Community Quality Workgroup, and a fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics.  Dr. Teich was educated at Caltech, MIT, and Harvard Medical School.

John Blair
, III, M.D., is a healthcare and technology executive with broad experience across the healthcare industry including clinical practice, hospital planning and governance, revenue cycle management, managed care, public health, and healthcare informatics.

Dr. Blair is the CEO of MedAllies, a Health Information Service Provider Company established in 2001 and based in Fishkill, NY.  MedAllies facilitates physician adoption of Health Information Technology and integrates the Healthcare community to improve safety, enhance quality and increase efficiency in the delivery and maintenance of individual and community health.  MedAllies built and currently operates the Hudson Valley Health Information Exchange (HVHIE) which connects healthcare stakeholders throughout New York’s Hudson Valley. The HVHIE operates under the direction of the Taconic Health Information Network and Community Regional Health Information Organization (THINC RHIO), one of the nation’s leading Regional Health Information Organizations.

Dr Blair is the president of the Taconic IPA, a 3000 physician independent practice organization in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley.  The company was formed in 1989, and over the last eight years has been involved in a major initiative to improve quality and transparency in healthcare. Dr. Blair has been instrumental in advancing a regional pay-for-performance program focusing on technology adoption and usage.  The program includes multiple health plans, self-insured employers and the New York State employee Health Plan working together to coordinate performance measure, reporting and incentives. 

Dr. Blair is a board-certified General Surgeon who spent fifteen years in academic medicine and private practice before becoming President of the Taconic IPA.  While in clinical practice, he spent ten years as the managing partner of Hudson Valley Surgical Associates, a multi-specialty surgical group.  Dr. Blair received his medical degree from Rush Medical School in Chicago and did his surgical training at the University of Texas Medical Center in Dallas.  He performed a gastrointestinal fellowship at the Middlesex Hospital in London, England.  He published extensively in Gastrointestinal Physiology, his primary area of research.

Steve Fox
is a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP, a national law firm, serving clients throughout the United States. He is resident in the firm’s Washington, DC office and leads Pepper’s health care informatics initiative. Since 1990, Steve’s practice has been primarily devoted to health care information technology. Beginning in 2000, for almost five years he wrote a monthly “Q&A” column dealing with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) at HIPAAdvisory.com, and he is co-author of “Guide to Medical Privacy and HIPAA,” published by Thompson Publishing Group. He provides clients with legal advice and strategic counseling involving technology, e-commerce and health care information systems. In particular, he is experienced in the development, acquisition, negotiation, transfer and licensing of complex information systems, networks (including RHIOs) and software; outsourcing; computerized records management; privacy protection, HIPAA; Internet and technology use policies; consulting/services agreements; and corporate, contractual and intellectual property matters.

Before joining Pepper, Mr. Fox was chairman of the Information Systems/E-Commerce Practice Group at Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver.

Miriam Paramore
 is a nationally known expert in the business of healthcare and health information technology.  With 24 years of industry experience, she is a frequent speaker at national, state, and local healthcare events and has been published in numerous trade journals. 

Ms. Paramore is a Partner with Commonwealth Leverage, a transformation and growth company focused on health information technology, eHealth, and healthcare services.  During her career, she has held a number of executive management positions including CEO of a healthcare information clearinghouse, founder and CEO of a healthcare technology consulting company, General Manager of operations for a physician/hospital receivables company, VP of Business Development for a physician revenue cycle management company, and senior healthcare consultant with Ernst & Young.  She recently founded Cardio-One, a professional services firm offering accreditation services for echocardiography and nuclear laboratories in cardiology practices.

Ms. Paramore is a member of the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Board of Directors, the Chair of the HIMSS Financial Systems Steering Committee, and the Chair of the Louisville Health Information Exchange.  She also serves on the eHealth Advisory Committee for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and is a Board Member of the Kentucky Pediatric Society. 

Ms. Paramore co-founded and served on the Board of the HIPAA Action Workgroup of Kentucky (HAWK), a state-wide not-for-profit organization, and served as an Advisory Board member of the Southern Healthcare Administrative Regional Process (SHARP), a 13-state not-for-profit collaboration.  She has previously served as a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association National HIPAA@Work Committee, the WEDI Regional Affiliate Leadership Committee, and JCAHO/NCQA HIPAA Privacy Review and Appeals Committee. 

Recently, Ms. Paramore was honored with the Women in Technology Distinguished Mention Award from the Greater Louisville, Inc. Technology Network.  In 2005, Ms. Paramore was nominated for the Small Business Administration Woman Business Advocate of the Year award.  In 2004, she was a finalist for the NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) Woman Business Owner of the Year award.

Sunny Sanyal
has overall leadership responsibility for McKesson Provider Technologies’ North American operations.  As Chief Operating Officer, he oversees product development, implementation services, customer support, and sales and marketing functions for all products within health systems, ambulatory, imaging and pharmacy automation market segments.

Sanyal brings to this position more than 17 years of experience in healthcare information technology, serving in a variety of positions. Prior to his role as COO, Sanyal was group president of Clinical Solutions for MPT. He joined McKesson in 2004 from GE Healthcare where he led the Centricity Clinical Information Systems business. Prior to that role, he was responsible for global product management for Imaging Information Systems for GE Healthcare. His early career was devoted to developing software for IDX Systems Corporation and working with high-tech companies as a consultant for Accenture.

Sanyal received a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bombay, India. He also holds a master of science degree in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.
