Chapter Leader of the Year Award

Purpose
The Chapter Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates significant leadership, extraordinary contributions to HIMSS Chapters, the Society and a commitment to the HIT industry.

Established: 2004

Eligibility
Nominees must:

• Be a HIMSS member in good standing for at least 3 consecutive years.
• Be a HIMSS Chapter Leader for at least one full year.
• Have demonstrated innovative leadership and made significant contributions to strengthen the Chapter.
• Represent the highest standards of leadership in information technology in healthcare.
• Be respected and recognized as a role model by his/her peers.

The Nomination Process

• Nominations may be received from the individual, Chapter Board, any member, staff or outside party
• Nominations must be received using either the online nomination form.
• Award recommendations are sent to the HIMSS Board for consideration and final approval

 The Chapter Leader of the Year Award Consists of:

• Symbol of Recognition
• Press release
• Invitation to the Annual Awards Dinner with (1) complimentary ticket
