About Us
Expanding HIMSS support of Emerging Professionals, those with five years or less experience in Health IT, is part of the HIMSS's strategic plan. Projections by the U. S. Department of Labor estimate that over 50,000 new professionals will be added to the already existing complement of HIT professionals. Our goal is to ensure Emerging Professionals have the resources necessary to launch and advance successful careers in Health IT.
Career Services Task Force
The Career Services Task Force provides HIMSS with strategic guidance on best practices, technologies, and emerging trends to optimize HIMSS Career Services initiatives. This Task Force strengthens HIMSS position as the leader for credible and comprehensive career service offerings focused on health IT and management systems for all of the various levels of HIMSS members and in the various stages of their health IT careers.
