Mission:
The mission of the Payor SIG is to provide a home for payer organizations to promote the unique, common, technology interest of payer organizations within the context of HIMSS overall mission. The Payor SIG accomplishes this by sharing information and providing a focus for a common view within the HIMSS Payor Community as it reaches out to other key HIMSS constituencies. The HIMSS Payor SIG is different from other industry groups (AHIP, CHIME) because it maintains a focus on enabling technologies, integration, and operations in healthcare and information management.
