We sit down with Eric Heil at the HIMSS Innovation Summit to talk about RightCare, a medical technology company focused on readmissions. Through research the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, RightCare's predictive model will risk assess patients at the time of admission to serve the best matched and right level of post acute care for their needs. Eric also explains why the information needed for the best transition of care is not always in the Electronic Health Record.
Eric is the co-founder, president and chief executive officer of RightCare Solutions. From 2008-2012, he had been at Domain Associates, LLC, a leading life-science venture capital fund with over $2.4 billion under management. Prior board observer positions included Adynxx, Afferent Pharmaceuticals, Corthera, TargetRx, and Celator Pharmaceuticals. Eric also served as Director of Business Development for Corthera, a Domain portfolio company, which was acquired by Novartis in February 2010 for $620 million.
