Many mobile applications have been developed that provide quick access to vital information. These "apps" include both provider- and patient-centered information to be used at the point of care. They are user-friendly, many are free, and some will save patients money on prescriptions. This session will provide a priority approach to app utilization that can improve patient care and save time for both providers and their patients. Presented by Linda Hogan, PhD, Director, Faculty Development, Family Medicine Residency, UPMC – St. Margaret, Department of Family Medicine, University of Pittsburgh. Moderated by Toria Shaw, MSW, HIMSS TIGER Staff Liaison, Manager of Clinical Informatics.
