Two faculty in the SUNY Plattsburgh RN-BSN program utilized the TIGER Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) resources in their Nursing Informatics classes in the fall of 2016 and spring 2017. The fall class was taught in a hybrid format, in which 50% of the instruction was online and 50% was face-to-face, in the RN-BSN program while the other utilized the TIGER VLE as the primary resource for an online RN-BSN course taught in the spring of 2017. Hear how the TIGER VLE was integrated into classroom curricula and how resources were leveraged through these two real world examples applicable to the academic nursing community. Presented by Jenna Thate MSN, RN, CNE, Assistant Professor of Nursing at SUNY Plattsburgh, Queensbury Campus, Heather LaPoint, RN, MSN, Ed., CNE, CCRN-E, Assistant Professor of Nursing at SUNY Plattsburgh and Toria Shaw, MSW, HIMSS TIGER Staff Liaison, Manager of Clinical Informatics.
