Our volunteers work conscientiously to advance HIMSS’ strategic initiatives through their leadership and dedication to transforming health IT. Focused on specific constituencies and key industry topics within health IT, HIMSS North America Committees allow you the opportunity to exchange ideas and research with peers, build a robust network, and expand your professional development opportunities.
Committee positions are available for a term of two fiscal years and are open to members who have been in good standing for 12 consecutive months. The call for applications is currently closed and will reopen in January, 2017.

To be eligible to serve as a committee member, an applicant must have belonged to HIMSS for more than the past 12 consecutive months from the date nominations open. Applicants cannot be currently serving in a leadership position (ex: Committee Chair or HNA Board of Directors), nor hold a current committee appointment within the Society. Ineligible member types: Chapter only and Online only.

All volunteers must be HIMSS members. However, the membership length requirement is only for committee members. All members are eligible to participate in workgroups, taskforces, roundtables and communities.
