UConn Certificate Program in Healthcare Information Technology

The University of Connecticut offers HIMSS members certificate programs in healthcare information technology, and a graduate certificate in biomedical informatics. Members can receive a 5% discount on both programs.

UCONN’s Certificate Program in Healthcare Information Technology is designed for entry to mid-level IT staff and is a noncredit certificate program. Courses integrate industry expertise with cutting-edge research. Each five week long course is moderated by an online instructor who will interact with fellow students. Students must take five courses to earn the certificate.

PMI’s Essentials of Project Management - HIMSS Member Discount

This online, self-paced course will benefit anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of managing projects, with a focus on preparing for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® credential exam. Each module offers a concentrated review of the project management processes, organized by Knowledge Area, as presented within A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), 5th Edition, and includes exercises, terms, and a set of exam practice questions. Successful completion of this course provides the contact hours needed to meet the credential application requirements. As a HIMSS member, you can take the course at the discounted rate of $350, which is a $100 savings.
