HIMSS joins the National Cyber Security Alliance to help raise awareness of the importance of online privacy and security.

Together HIMSS and NCSA aim to create and implement broad reaching education and awareness efforts to empower users at home, work and school with the information they need to keep themselves, their organizations, their systems, and their sensitive information safe and secure online and encourage a culture of cybersecurity.

To help achieve this goal HIMSS Champions two NCSA efforts - National Cyber Security Awareness Month and Data Privacy Day – and produces educational resources throughout the year to help users stay safe online.

National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) – celebrated every October - was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. To celebrate NCSAM, HIMSS and NCSA have created educational cybersecurity resources to help keep information secure.
