Lisa Ashton, Pharm.D.

Dr. Lisa Ashton is an associate clinical professor with the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). As faculty, Dr. Ashton worked with the California Department of Health Care Services and the California Health and Human Services Agency to support statewide efforts to implement and improve health information technology and exchange in California; with a focus on the adoption of e-prescribing to improve medication safety. In 2014, Dr. Ashton joined Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG), California's CMS-designated QIO, as Director for Pharmacy Innovation in order to expand health information exchange as a means to improve communication between providers (including pharmacists) and patients, spread best practices, and achieve widespread improvement in patient care and population health.
Timothy Cutler, Pharm.D.

Dr. Timothy Cutler is a professor with the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Cutler joined the UCSF School of Pharmacy faculty in 2004. In this role he works as a clinical pharmacist in collaboration with the UC Davis Medical Center and is the Director of the Sacramento Experiential Program. There, he devotes much of his time to the fourth year pharmacy students placed at the UC Davis Medical Center and throughout Sacramento. He is currently working in a Medication Therapy Management Clinic with the UC Davis Medical Center where he works with seniors to improve their medication therapy and reduce out of pocket prescription drug costs. Dr. Cutler's current research and practice foci are on geriatric pharmacy, medication therapy management, safety issues related to information technology, and the development of new pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Cutler holds the Divine Family Endowed Chair in Clinical Pharmacy. With this position, he is evaluating the impact of the pharmacist ambulatory care across the UC Medical Centers.
Sokkim Lim, Pharm.D.

Dr. Sokkim Lim is an assistant clinical professor with the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Prior to joining UCSF, Dr. Lim served as the senior program manager for Cal eConnect, the state governance entity for health information exchange in California. She is currently working with San Mateo County to address the deficits in care coordination for foster children through the use of personal health records and the direct-patient care provided by community pharmacists.
Amanda Fingado, MPH

Ms. Amanda Fingado is a senior epidemiologist and program manager with the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Ms. Fingado has been with UCSF since 2004, where she started as the research director with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the UCSF School of Medicine. Her research interests include the creation, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of innovative, evidence-based interventions to improve physicians' prescribing and increase the quality of, and access to, prescription drugs by vulnerable populations (e.g., the elderly, the poor, the disabled, the chronically ill). She is currently working with the California Medi-Cal Drug Use Review (DUR) Board to address medication-related quality and safety issues within the Medi-Cal fee-for-service population.
