Join Avraham (Avi) Ayalon, Senior Instructor, Department Manager, Israel Institute for Occupational Safety and Hygiene (IIOSH) for an overview of his health IT and social work career in Israel. Host Ben Garrett talks with Ayalon for this Member in Action podcast.
In addition to his work as senior instructor and department manager at IIOSH, Ayalon is now managing the program of training and training development of fireworks, explosives, tunneling and infrastructures’ safety, as well as OSH Officers in the IDF and Fire Safety Officers, also in the IDF.
With over 15 years of experience in the addictions field in direct treatment and managerial positions, Ayalon served as a Mental Health Officer (Reserves) within the IDF Medical Corps; he is a Group Facilitator as well as a Mediator.
He is a HIMSS Senior Member; Member of the HIMSS Distance Education Committee and a reviewer for HIMSS14, HIMSS AsiaPac, mHealth Summit, and AHRQ’s HIT conferences. He is also a member of the Israeli IT Association and Israeli Association for Medical Informatics.
Ayalon has a Master’s in Occupational Health, specializing in behavior and occupational health, from Tel Aviv University; and a Bachelor’s in Social Work, majoring in social work in the armed forces, also from Tel Aviv University. He is also an Advanced Registered Social Worker.
