What three core competencies do you possess that will benefit the Nominating Committee?
Industry Knowledge – I have worked in three sectors of our industry, government, provider and payer, and so have a broad knowledge of the key sector perspectives. Have been deeply involved in the three key “waves” of HIT over the last 20 years including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and now Pay for Value.
HIMSS Experience – I have worked with HIMSS Committees, staff and programs since 1998 and understand the needs of the organization and the role of the BOD. I have a strong commitment to maintaining our organization as one that leads the industry, involves a wide array of thought leaders on our committees, and offers meaningful programs to help those on the front line of HIT bend the quality / cost curve.
Board Experience – I have worked on numerous boards and understand the key needs of these boards. I currently sit on the board of a large YMCA organization in the Philadelphia area and a Long-Term Support organization involved in LTPAC.
