Summary of Professional Experience:

Currently Vice President, Government and Industry Affairs for GE Healthcare Digital. Working closely with GE Healthcare’s Washington Office and business teams, I direct participation in various government and industry groups, help define and drive advocacy agendas, and coordinate responses to regulations and legislation.

I was previously a Vice President at Medical Present Value, Inc. (cloud-based revenue cycle start-up acquired by Experian) and the American Medical Association. In both roles, I had extensive interaction with boards and senior leadership and led diverse public policy, technology and business initiatives. I have spoken, published, and used social media extensively on a variety of healthcare topics.

I am very active in HIMSS and other industry activities. I am Past Vice Chair and Chair Emeritus of the HIMSS Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA), past Chair of the EHRA Public Policy Leadership Workgroup, past Chair of the HIMSS Government Relations Roundtable, past member of the HIMSS Public Policy Committee and current member of the HIMSS Quality, Cost, and Safety Committee. I am also a member of eHI’s Leadership Council and Past Chair of its Policy Steering Committee, member of the AMIA Industry Advisory Council and Public Policy Committee, and member of the WEDI Industry Affairs Committee. I am also co-chair of the AAMI Health IT Committee and was appointed to the National Quality Forum's (NQF's) HIT Patient Safety Expert Panel.

I am also a member of the HL7 Advisory Council and the HL7 Public Policy Committee and was also appointed to the S&I Framework Task Force of the Health IT Standards Committee. I was a member of the Task Force on Delivery System Reform and Health IT of the Bipartisan Policy Center and the Center’s Collaborative on Health IT and Delivery System Reform.

Finally, I have been a leader and Board member for Oak Park Temple.
