One of Representative Baker’s recent legislation contributions is the House Bill 1619, which will allow the Commonwealth to join the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. The compact is designed to permit eligible licensed physicians in one state to treat patients in other states via telemedicine technologies. Rep. Baker is a great example of a legislator pushing HIMSS’ mission in optimizing health engagements and care outcomes through the use of information technology.
