Take Action: Ask Your Members of Congress to Cosponsor the CONNECT for Health Act

In May, both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives introduced the bipartisan Creating Opportunities Now for Necessary and Effective Care Technologies (CONNECT) for Health Act of 2017 (H.R. 2556 and S. 1016). The CONNECT for Health Act of 2017 is strongly supported by HIMSS and contains many of the recommendations that HIMSS has long advocated for, including modernizing healthcare delivery for Medicare beneficiaries by removing barriers to the use of telehealth and other healthcare technologies such as remote patient monitoring (RPM). HIMSS, along with more than 50 other stakeholder organizations, formally endorsed the legislation when it was introduced.

While the bill has strong support on and off Capitol Hill, it still faces an uphill battle in Congress. We need your help to continue building support. Please “take action” by visiting the HIMSS Legislative Action Center today to send a letter to your Senators and Representatives asking them to cosponsor this important legislation and help to ensure these critical reforms are enacted into law.
