World Immunization Week | April 24-30
Immunization saves millions of lives and is widely recognized as one of the world’s most successful and cost-effective health interventions. World Immunization Week aims to highlight the collective action needed to ensure that every person is protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.
This year’s theme: “Protected Together, #VaccinesWork,” encourages people at every level – from donors to the general public – to go further in their efforts to increase immunization coverage for the greater good.
About the Immunization Integration Program (IIP)
A collaborative effort of HIMSS, Drummond Group and Chickasaw Health Consulting, LLC, the Immunization Integration Program (IIP) seeks to use electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical software to improve U.S. immunization rates, which are linked to better health outcomes, reduced healthcare costs, and higher clinician productivity.
