Health Information Technology Foundations
A foundational course for interprofessionals new to the health IT field, intended to create familiarity with applications of health IT in care delivery.

• This course offers an overview of healthcare, health information technology, and health information management systems. The curriculum is aligned to the new Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS) certification administered by the HIMSS.

Information Technology in Healthcare
An intermediate course for experienced interprofessionals interacting with health IT and integrating it into workflow.

• This course features modules that investigate the healthcare environment, healthcare IT acquisition and implementation, e-health implementation, and organizational considerations, as well as a case study on Allina Health’s “ One Patient, One Record” EMR initiative.

Certificates are awarded once all course modules have been accomplished and subscribers have completed an assessment with a passing score of 80%.  Upon successful course assessment completion, subscribers will be allowed to print their certificate on demand within the environment.

Archived VLE Webinar Recordings

Log into the VLE to access archived VLE webinars.

• Click on the Events tab on the Home Page or Top Navigation Toolbar to launch the Theatre.
• Once launched, the left hand side panel will display upcoming and previously recorded webinars.  Click the On Demand Events tab to view archived events by title. 
• By clicking on the Live and Upcoming Events tab, you can add reminders to your calendar for future events.

CAHIMS/CPHIMS Credit Available

CP-CAHIMS enduring credit is designated for 1 hour per event for qualified individuals. Forms can be downloaded from the Resource Library stored within the VLE Webinar CP-CAHIMS Credit Forms folder.

There are individual forms for each webinar event.  Once these forms are completed, please retain for your records.
