HIMSS Annual Call for Committee Volunteers
Looking for a way to give back through HIMSS? We’re currently seeking health IT architects, innovators and trailblazers to serve on HIMSS North America Committees, with a two-year commitment leading and executing HIMSS’ strategic initiatives dedicated to the transformation of health through IT. The application period will be open until Mar. 13. Apply now.

Focus on Long-Term Good Health with Free Immunization Capability Testing
Three (3) organizations working together - CNI Advantage, HIMSS and ICSA Labs, now invite health IT vendors to test their immunization-capable products in the Immunization Integration Program [IIP] supported by CDC. Participation is free of charge. Vendors who participate in this program will demonstrate that their product includes software capabilities that address provider and patient reminders and up-to-date demographics and immunization information.

HIMSS17 TIGER VIP Tour of Interoperability Showcase
The Interoperability Showcase at HIMSS17 is an event that demonstrates the power and availability of standards-based health IT solutions. In collaboration with IHE, this dynamic event will allow attendees to create a patient record and watch it move from system to system across a continuum of care. TIGER’s VIP tour of the Showcase on from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 will provide an up close and personal demonstration of how health information exchange impacts patient care. Over 100 live clinical information systems exchange health data within a wide breadth of care settings, including both acute and ambulatory workflows and the systems used therein. Explore vignettes designated for clinical and business scenarios, plus HIMSS Innovation Center services, government agencies, and stakeholders. Experience the latest cutting-edge technology - systems and devices that deliver interoperability today. Click here to RSVP today!

February 2017 Health Story Project Roundtable: C-CDA Documents: Building Blocks for Meaningful Exchange
Feb. 6 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. While C-CDA (Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture) is regularly used in data exchange across the health IT community, the various types of C-CDA documents available for exchange are not well understood. This Roundtable will describe the 12 document types defined in C-CDA, highlight the similarities and differences of the sections within those documents, and show how C-CDA document and section templates can be leveraged as building blocks for more meaningful data exchange.
