Take the HIMSS 2016 cybersecurity survey
Recent cyberattacks on healthcare organizations have been highly disruptive and publicly embarrassing for the industry. Please click here and to take part in the 2016 HIMSS Cybersecurity Survey, sponsored by FairWarning, to help identify how healthcare organizations are mitigating the risk of being the next victim. Individual responses will remain confidential, and aggregate results will be compared to previous year’s findings and released later this year in a report. All participants will be entered into a drawing to win one of five $100 gift cards.

Security’s Secret Sauce: A Recipe for Continuous Improvement
The IT Process Institute has studied and benchmarked more than 850 IT organizations to gain deeper insights into what enables high performers to excel. And you know what they found? When it comes to implementing and sustaining a solid security program, many security professionals fail – because they don’t know any better. Scott Alldridge, CEO, IT Process Institute, will present “Security’s Secret Sauce: A Recipe for Continuous Improvement” at the May 11-12 Los Angeles Privacy & Security Forum. Alldridge will review and share best practices for, among other things, managing change, inventory assets, implement effective release management, and deploy controls that are both visible and audit able. Register now to hear Alldridge and 20+ top cybersecurity experts.

OpenNotes: The Power of Sharing
Tom Delbanco, co-director, OpenNotes, will discuss why an electronic portal initially launched at three locations in 2010 has expanded to some of the most prestigious healthcare organizations throughout the country. An estimated 4.5-5 million patients access their clinical notes through the program and at the May 19-20 Pop Health Forum 2016, in Boston, Delblanco will describe how Open Notes works, why it is such a hit with patients and why most of the physicians who take part embrace it as well. More and more providers are looking for new ways to share information with patients faster and more easily than ever before. Registration is open, grab a ticket now.

C-CDA Direct Message: Are We There Yet?
