Davies Ambulatory Award Winner Northern Ohio Medical Specialists Improve Patient Outcomes with Digital Health Northern Ohio Medical Specialists (NOMS) is honored as a HIMSS Davies Ambulatory Award recipient for the use of digital health to improve clinical patient outcomes. As part of their mission to improve patient outcomes, NOMS Healthcare introduced the Improved Quality Scores initiative. This included developing a standardized implementation committee, creating standardized templates, initiating standardized workflows, and empowering patients with helpful resources, such digital appointment reminders and pre-visit planning. Another example of digital health implementation success at NOMS Healthcare includes improved provider access. This new workflow included opening several ‘open access’ locations with evening/weekend hours and the addition of several advanced practitioners in their family practice offices. HIMSS Healthcare & Cross-Sector Cybersecurity Report for October 2017
HIMSS just published the Oct. issue (Vol. 16) of the HIMSS Healthcare & Cross-Sector Cybersecurity Report. Highlights from this report include information on medical device security, Wi-Fi attacks, BadRabbit malware, advanced persistent threat (APT) campaigns, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) attacks, and more.
