ONC Releases Report to Congress on Health Information Blocking
The report, requested by Congress in December’s “Cromnibus” legislation, asked that ONC study the extent of this so-called information blocking including ways to address it and the number of EHR vendors, hospitals and doctors who practice it and report its findings back to Congress.

There are six federal agencies participating in this year’s Pavilion: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Commerce, Department of Veterans Affairs, Federal Health Architecture, National Institutes of Health’s Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC), and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT.
