National Priorities Partnership Goals
National Quality Forum (NQF) is a proud member of the National Priorities Partnership. The Partnership, convened by NQF in 2008, is working to transform the nation’s healthcare system to ensure all Americans have access to safe and affordable healthcare. The 48 Partners represent those who pay for, deliver, and evaluate healthcare – they are uniquely positioned to bring about substantive change. The Partners are collaborating on actions around six National Priorities that, together, represent the greatest potential for change:
The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals
The purpose of the Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals is to promote specific improvements in patient safety. The Goals highlight problematic areas in health care and describe evidence and expert-based solutions to these problems. Recognizing that sound system design is intrinsic to the delivery of safe, high quality health care, the Goals focus on system-wide solutions, wherever possible.
