Lynda Batchelor, MA, is Senior Director, Marketing, for HIMSS: a global, cause-based, not-for-profit organization focused on better health through information and technology. 

In this role, Lynda is responsible for leading the planning, development and execution of HIMSS North America's (HNA's) marketing and advertising initiatives, including overseeing marketing activities for one of the 10 largest conferences in the world. She is also responsible for organization growth and revenue generation through successful marketing, utilizing market research, product marketing, marketing communications and advertising. Batchelor works with other HNA senior leadership to build a strong company-wide culture characterized by agile decision-making, focus on innovation, experimentation, data-driven accountability and diversity of thinking. She is also responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training and managing all marketing functions to achieve HNA visibility and growth through consistent messaging and positioning on a national basis.

Batchelor joined HIMSS in 2004 as Program Manager of Marketing, moving through the Marketing Department ranks to Manager in 2006, Senior Manager in 2010 and Director in 2012. She assumed her current position in 2017. Prior to joining HIMSS, Batchelor was Associate VP, Marketing, for CNA Insurance, where she directed the operations of the company’s risk management marketing efforts to national accounts. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Studies from DePaul University and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Northwestern University.
