Seven bills were introduced in the 113th Congress that sought to support the development of cybersecurity education and precautionary measures. Four of these bills were passed, while S.1180 Medicare Data Access for Transparency and Accountability Act and two companion bills, S. 2588 Cyber Information Sharing Act of 2014 and H.R.624 Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, were deferred by the Senate.
