The CAHIMS Review Course is an excellent source of an emerging health IT body of knowledge that spans three broad knowledge categories involving each and every topic areas in CAHIMS. This live, instructor-led,  online Review Course, consisting of 4 sessions (2-hour per session), will provide a highly interactive and fast-paced detailed overview of these competency areas by supplementing tools and resources from a variety of sources to aid in the knowledge transfer process.

CAHIMS Body of Knowledge: An Introduction (Healthcare & Technology)

This first module of the CAHIMS Review Course will introduce attendees to the various components of the CAHIMS Body of Knowledge, center discussion on the opportunities and challenges in the healthcare environment, while addressing the technological components needed to deliver patient care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the various components of the CAHIMS Body of Knowledge
  • Articulate characteristics, roles, and inter-relationships of various healthcare entities
  • Recognize the various characteristics, applications, and technical components that support the healthcare environment
