Health Information Exchange: What Will It Take?
Dr. Foldy co-founded the Wisconsin Health Information Exchange, which reached 50 hospitals before closing in 2012. From 2009-2012, he led public health input into the Meaningful Use program and federal interoperability. He is an associate professor of Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and also works as a consultant focusing on public health management and strategy and with clients such as the CDC, Prevention and Public Health Informatics Institute/Task Force for Global Health, and HIMSS. Dr. Foldy will make the case for solving the interoperability dilemma and offer insights into what is needed.
