In the role of CNIO Mary Beth oversees the nursing adoption, utilization and optimization of the electronic health record (EHR) for all hospitals within THR. She also serves as the liaison for all information technology-related nursing projects. In this role, Mary Beth chairs the THR Nursing Informatics Council and participates in the Chief Nursing Officer Council, System Leadership Council, as well as other Information Technology Leadership Committees and multidisciplinary teams.
Patricia Mook, Chief Nursing Information Officer, INOVA
Patricia holds the privilege of being the first Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) for Inova Health System. In her role, she provides visionary leadership and establish direction for a comprehensive clinical informatics and education program. Her primary focus is on clinical and nursing practice, administration, research and academic partnership in support of interdisciplinary patient driven care. In an effort to assure they are a high reliability organization for patient care, Patricia strives to provide leadership within operational informatics and educational programming to support the organizational goals. She oversees and leads all aspects of staffing, including workface planning, recruiting, performance management, career development and compliance for informatics.
