Telehealth Education: Supporting a New Generation of Learners through Curriculum Integration

This session will present strategies for the integration of telehealth into health care curriculums to support the development, provision and advancement of innovative delivery modalities. Outcomes from programs that span multiple disciplines and learner levels will be provided. In addition, steps to integrate telehealth into service development and quality improvement processes through education interventions will be discussed. Questions and shared experiences from the audience are appreciated. Presented by Ragan DuBose-Morris, PhD, Telehealth Education Manager, Associate Professor, Medical University of South Carolina.

  1. Identify ways to integrate telehealth principles into interprofessional curriculum.
  2. Design leveled interventions based on trainee and provider certification needs.
  3. Develop telehealth service development strategy that utilized education as part of the continuous quality improvement process.
