Women in Health IT Virtual Mini-Series: Being Transformed

Join the HIMSS Central & North Florida Chapter on April 29 at 5:00 pm ET for a pre-conference event on being transformed. This is the last pre-WHIT event leading up to the main June 24-25 WHIT program. Everyone has been transformed by the pandemic, some more than others. Guest speaker, Beth Lindsay-Wood, will bring to light how she has had to navigate through the continuous changes in healthcare, what she has had to do to transform her team, her own way of leading and what lessons she can provide so everyone can be successful in their career journeys.


Beth Lindsay-Wood, MBA, CHCIO, VP and CIO, Moffitt Cancer Center
Beth Lindsay-Wood, MBA, CHCIO, is responsible for optimizing the cancer center’s infrastructure to accelerate digital transformation and oversees Moffitt’s IT infrastructure, clinical informatics, cybersecurity and IT applications throughout the enterprise. She also is a core leader, along with the chief data officer and others, of Moffitt’s digital team. The digital team is responsible for collaborating and leading the execution of the digital care and discovery accelerator pillar of Moffitt’s strategic plan IMPACT 2028.

Lindsay-Wood brings more than 30 years of CIO/IT executive leadership experience to this role, including senior executive roles in IT at Tampa General Hospital and Sentara Healthcare. As a partner in a healthcare consulting firm, Lindsay-Wood has provided strategic consulting services to large health care systems and cancer centers across the country, leading transformative clinical and business initiatives.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Tampa and master of business administration from Troy University.
