Join us for a continued discussion from our HIMSS17 Interoperability & Standards Breakfast Panel, sponsored by Cerner. This Webinar checks in with our panel on updates on interoperability efforts they touched on within our HIMSS17 event.
Interoperability continues to be an issue that stakeholders across the health and healthcare ecosystem find difficult to address. Where the first session set the stage for the various impacts of interoperability across stakeholders, in this session, the panelists shared their experiences within their respective fields in trying to achieve widespread interoperability, and discuss challenges they have faced in their daily lives. Our panelists will explore the role of emerging standards and technologies, and share use cases important to their interoperability efforts. Finally, the discussion will cover the individual perspective, examining the role providers and individuals play within these efforts to streamline information exchange.
After this session, attendees should be able to:
- Describe challenges and opportunities associated with interoperability and exchange.
- Identify new and ongoing efforts to further implementation of interoperable systems and workflows to leverage information exchange.
- Understand some of the technology and infrastructure required to achieve interoperability and implement exchange.
