The Opioid Crisis and the EHR

During the webinar, we will explore the background and current state of the opioid crisis in the United States. Dr. Thaker will provide insights from the practicing physician perspective. We will then outline the potential of the EHR to provide tools that can reduce opioid related harm and deaths, as well as improve the quality of life for patients suffering from SUD (substance use disorder) in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Learning Objectives:

Webinar participants will:

  • Understand the background that has led to the current opioid crisis in the United States.
  • Understand some of the key legislative activities associated with proposed solutions to the opioid crisis, with an emphasis on developments in EHR functionality.
