Towards a Fast Track in Digital Health Innovation Pt 2: Case Studies of Select Applications from Sheba Medical Center | Tel Aviv, Israel

Sheba Medical Center, Israel's largest academic medical center, has been ahead of the curve in both health information technology infrastructure and research and development efforts for quite some time. Building on this legacy and with the aim to accelerate innovation in digital health, Sheba Medical Center has recently implemented a new strategy – Accelerate, Redesign and Collaborate (ARC).

As a follow-up to Part 1, “Towards a Fast Track in Digital Health Innovation: Setting the Strategy and Infrastructure,” in this presentation Chief Medical Officer and Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Eyal Zimlichman showcases select case studies of innovations in digital health developed through the unique ARC program. Solutions include AI applications aimed at preventing medication errors or optimizing patient placement in the post-acute care arena, analytic tools that allow for diagnosing hospital acquired infections, and innovative new telemedicine programs. These applications present successful collaborations between startups and the teams at Sheba Medical Center, starting from design and development, to proof of concept and system wide role out.
