  • Understand the Health & Safety protocols and verify your vaccination status. HIMSS21 is a COVID-19 vaccination required event for all attendees, exhibitors and HIMSS staff.

  • Book your hotel early. Hotels near the venue campus fill up fast, so book your room now—even before you complete your HIMSS21 registration. Make your reservations through onPeak, the HIMSS official housing company, and get peace of mind plus exclusive perks by booking in the HIMSS block.

  • Read the FAQs. Find information on registration, how to’s, cancellation, certification and more. And remember, you’re not alone… 40% of attendees are first-timers! So don’t be afraid to ask questions, meet new people, and explore all that HIMSS21 has to offer.

  • Establish your objectives. The hundreds of general education sessions in and thought leadership sessions in specialty pavilions are included with your registration. Additional sign up is NOT required and you may flow from room to room.

  • Pack for comfort. Those jogging shoes you swore you’d exercise in last weekend? Trust us: bring them. You’ll be doing a lot of walking across the venue, and comfortable, supportive shoes are critical.

  • Attend an in-person orientation session. Join HIMSS staff for a First-Timers’ Orientation and get answers to your last-minute questions.

  • Explore the maps. Reference maps in the HIMSS Events Mobile App and in guides throughout the conference center to navigate your way to education sessions, the exhibit hall, networking events and more.

  • Wear your conference badge on-site. Be sure to wear your badge at all times during HIMSS21―and take it off when you leave the venue campus.

  • Use the shuttles. Take advantage of the complimentary shuttles that run between the venue campus, official HIMSS hotels and the airport.

  • Plan for travel time. Whether trying to get to a morning keynote or breakfast session, or leaving to an off-site networking event, plan extra time for travel. Traffic near the conference venue gets extremely busy at peak times.
