How do I log in to access the virtual experience for HIMSS21 Digital?

Once you have registered for the event, click on the link to login to the HIMSS21 Digital platform

  • Type in your name and email, click next.
  • Enter a six-digit verification code which will be sent to you via email and/or text message if you provided your mobile number during registration.

Is the in-person event in Las Vegas live-streamed on the digital platform?

HIMSS21 Digital content and programming is a unique extension of HIMSS21—not a duplication or livestream of on-site activities. To register for HIMSS21 Digital, click here. View the full agenda for the HIMSS21 Digital program.

How do I ensure the best video experience?

Just like any livestream, there are things you can do to ensure the best viewing experience. We recommend disabling your pop-up blockers and using the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge as your web browser. Make sure you have a strong internet connection. It also helps to close non-essential tabs in your browser. If you do experience buffering or your video freezes, reload the session page before contacting the Help Desk.

Why did I get logged out?

For privacy reasons, your login only stays valid for 72 hours. You will also be logged out after 24 hours of inactivity. You will need to request a verification code once expired. If for any reason you are having difficulty logging back in, please use the Help Desk chat in the bottom right corner of the login page.

Can I share links to HIMSS21 Digital?

Yes, please feel free to share links, but in order for the recipient to access the event, they must first register.   

How to edit your profile

Within the digital platform, click on your initials at the top right and then click on View profile to edit your information.

How long will I have access to HIMSS21 Digital?

HIMSS21 Digital will remain open and available for on-demand viewing through the end of September.

Will there be continuing education (CE) credits offered for the HIMSS21 Digital program?

The digital program has been approved for use in fulfilling the continuing education renewal requirements of the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) and the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS).  In addition to the full week of scheduled digital programming, HIMSS21 Digital includes ongoing access to on-demand sessions that qualify for clinical CE credit. Can I see who else is attending the digital event and connect with them?

There will be a viewable list in the digital platform of all attendees who have opted to be visible. You can set up appointments with attendees there as well!

What time zone will the live broadcast take place?

How do I build my agenda for the event?

Log into the digital platform and use the dynamic home screen to find which sessions are currently happening or use the navigation across the top to click into all sessions. Click “Add” and the session will be added to your personal schedule.

After I’ve added sessions, where do I find my personalized agenda?

Across the top-right of the navigation, click on the Calendar icon to see your personal agenda.

How do I join a session?

Sessions will open 5 minutes prior to their start time.

Will there be closed-captioning?

Yes, this service is available and can be toggled on or off at the bottom of the media player.

When will sessions be available on-demand?

If you missed a live session or want to rewatch anything from the program again, click On-Demand across the top of the navigation bar where all sessions will be archived. Please allow for up to 2 hours after the session is scheduled to end for the video to be processed and transcoded for on-demand playback.  On-demand sessions will be accessible for up to 45 days post-event through the end of September.

Will you have downloadable presentations?

All live-streamed content will be available online in video format accessible via HIMSS21 Digital platform immediately following the end of each session and up to 45 days following the event.

When I leave the session room, I can no longer hear the speaker.

If you navigate to another event page, your session will stop. Simply click back into the session to return to the livestream.

When can I request an appointment?

The appointments tool is available within the digital platform. Log in to request appointments with both attendees and sponsors. You will be able to request an appointment after August 2 and search for colleagues that are free.

How to create and schedule 1:1 appointments with other attendees and sponsors?

There are 2 ways to schedule appointments:

  1. From the home screen, click on Schedule Appointment under Looking to Network? Click the Create Appointment button, choose an appointment type, select the attendees, date and time and send the Appointment invitation.
  2. Click on the Calendar icon in the top-right of the navigation to see your personal agenda and click on the Schedule Appointment button, then follow the same steps above.

How will we connect?

You will receive a calendar invite for your appointment; the invite will include a link to join the appointment in the digital platform.

How can I meet with a Digital Sponsor?

There are 3 ways to interact with an sponsor:  

  1. Request an appointment by accessing the appointments tool from the HIMSS21 Digital home screen. 
  2. Visit a Sponsor Discovery Page. This will take you into their personal meeting room, where you can ask the questions you have!
  3. Fill out the “Contact Us” button on the Discovery Page, so that one of their experts can reach out to you! 

What should I expect when I join a Sponsor’s Discovery Page? 

When you click on a Discovery Page, you’ll be able to do the following:

  • Meet Now* - You will be able to meet immediately with any available staff in a 1:1 video conferencing setting.
  • Schedule Meeting* – You will have the option to schedule an appointment with their staff at a time that works for both of you!
  • Chat* – Use the chat feature to message with that sponsor.
  • Contact Us – Leave a message to show your interest and get in touch with that sponsor’s team
  • Consume great content from videos to downloadable collateral

*Option availability varies by sponsor

Do I need my video or mic on?

If you select Meet Now or Schedule an Appointment, you are not required to have your video or mic on to participate. You will be prompted to select your audio/video settings upon joining.
