What are the on-site HIMSS23 registration hours and locations?
Where do I pick up my badge?
A government-issued photo ID will be required to pick up your badge on-site. Badge pickup will be available at any registration counter or kiosk located at McCormick Place, Hyatt Regency McCormick Place and Marriott Marquis Chicago.
Can I reprint my badge on-site?
Yes. Badge reprints on-site will cost $50.
Is there an age limit at the conference or related events?
Yes. All registrants, including spouses or guests, must be 21 years of age or older to attend any portion of the conference and events.
How do I receive my registration confirmation?
Confirmations are auto-generated and sent to the email address provided during the registration process. If you did not receive your confirmation, please contact himss@csreg.zohodesk.com.
When is the Call for Proposals?

All call for proposals opportunities will take place from August 1 – August 29, 2022.
I registered as a speaker. What happens next?
Your registration will be placed in a pending status until approval is received by HIMSS staff for verification. If more information is needed to process your request, the HIMSS professional development staff will contact you. Once your status has been verified, you will receive a separate notice of confirmation. Your registration is not complete until you receive a verified confirmation email.

I need a letter in order to obtain a visa. Whom do I contact?
You may request a visa during the online registration process. You will be prompted to add visa information after you enter your country. onPeak is the official HIMSS housing bureau. All reservations should be made directly through onPeak. Book now.
Are there discounts for group registrations?
Yes, there is a 15% discount off of registration passes for groups of 10-19 attendees, as well as a 20% discount for groups of 20+ attendees from the same organization.

What do I need to do to qualify for the student rate?
You must submit proof of enrollment during the online registration process. Student ID alone is not acceptable. Accepted documentation includes:
Individuals requesting the student rate may not hold a full-time equivalent position in the field of healthcare information and management systems. Individuals must also be formally enrolled in, but not limited to, a certificate, associate, undergraduate, graduate, postdoc, fellowship or residency program in the field of healthcare information and management systems.
All student attendees will have badges that display “Emerging Leader.”
What types of continuing education credits do you provide?
We offer continuing education credits for attendees to maintain over 12 different professional certifications for both clinical and non-clinical continuing education, e.g., CME, CNE, PDU, CAHIMSSM, CPHIMSSM, and our new certification, the CPDHTSSM certification.

What is the cutoff for the CAHIMS/CPHIMS Exam registrations? How is the exam registration handled after the cutoff has passed?
CAHIMS, CPHIMS, CPDHTS Exam registrations will be accepted through online registration through until Monday, April 10, 2023. Exam fees are below. Exam fees listed below are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or exam administration. No exam registrations will be accepted after Monday, April 10, 2023.
(HIMSS Chapter Only and Digital Only Members are not eligible for the HIMSS Member rate.)

When will I be able to book a hotel for HIMSS23?
Hotel reservations for attendees are now open through our only official housing partner, onPeak. Book now.
Great News: HIMSS has a deposit policy of only one night’s room plus tax, except for Hyatt Regency McCormick Place which is two nights room plus tax
Should you need to make any changes to your form of payment, you must do so prior to 4:00 pm CST on Friday, March 17, 2023. As of 4:01 pm CST on Friday, all changes will be subject to the non-refundable one night room plus tax deposit, and your method of payment on file will be charged at that time.
Do I have to be registered for the conference before I can book my hotel in the HIMSS block?
No. Hotels can be booked at the HIMSS rate before registering for the conference. We encourage booking in advance as hotel rooms fill up fast. View your hotel options.
May I register for the education and exhibit hall separately?
Yes. You may opt for a Single Day Pass, which includes Single day access only to same day keynote, concurrent education sessions, Exhibit Hall (available Tuesday-Thursday) and select networking events. You may also register for the Thursday-Only Exhibit Hall Pass, which does not include admittance to keynotes, concurrent education sessions, or access to Exhibit Hall on other days.
Does my conference registration include admittance to Monday preconference forums?
No. There is an additional fee for all Monday preconference forums, unless you have purchased the Conference Plus Pass.
How do I access the post-conference session recordings ?
Session recordings will be available 30 days post-conference and are included in the Conference Plus Pass and the Executive Pass. Session recordings can also be purchased at registration.
Can I register for an optional educational program and/or forum and not the full conference?
Yes. These selections are available on their own under Add-on Events on the registration page and selecting “Events Only” as your registration type.
Can I bring a spouse or other guest to the program?
Yes. However, spouses and other guests must be at least 21 years old and must register for the full conference, daily registration or optional events only in order to attend any function.
Is there a special guest category for spouses in advance or on-site?
No. Spouses and other guests have to register as full conference, daily registrants or exhibit hall only to gain access. Additional tickets can be purchased for special events, such as the Thursday Night Event.
What is the cancellation policy for full conference, exhibit hall only, single day, events only, and preconference symposia and workshops registrations?
On or before Monday, March 6, 2023: These registrations, less a $100 cancellation fee, are refundable only if submitted in writing to himss@csreg.zohodesk.com.
After Monday, March 6, 2023: Registrations and cancellations received are not refundable.

Additionally, registration cancellations will not automatically cancel your hotel reservation. Please refer to the Hotel Cancellation and Refund Policy here.
When will I receive my refund?
If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 business days. Registrations must be charged to Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Wire payments and checks are also accepted. No purchase orders are accepted. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type.
What is the policy for checks that are received after the published cutoff dates?
We will accept any checks received up to a week after the published cutoff dates at the previous price. After that, they will be keyed as a balance due at the current rate.
What if a registrant cancelled and then asks to reinstate their registration?
HIMSS does not allow cancelled registrants to reinstate their original registration. They must re-register at the rate for that time and provide new payment.
I can no longer attend the conference. Can I send a substitute?
Registrants unable to attend may request to send a substitute. If the substitute is not a HIMSS member, the non-member fee will be required. Substitutions must be made in writing to himss@csreg.zohodesk.com. The substitute must pay any difference in registration rate based on membership status. The substitute must first register themselves and pay the fee associated with their registration. Once this is complete, please send the substitute's registration ID to himss@csreg.zohodesk.com. Your account will be cancelled and your fee refunded.
If the substitution takes place on-site, the substitute must bring a letter on company letterhead verifying the substitution.
What is the HIMSS23 cancellation policy?
HIMSS reserves the right to cancel, alter, or reschedule the Conference for any reason, including because HIMSS determines in its sole discretion that the Conference cannot be held as planned. HIMSS also reserves the right to close registration when tickets are sold out. For these reasons, registrants are advised against making non-refundable travel arrangements. Should you purchase non-refundable airline tickets or make non-refundable hotel reservations, you do so at your own risk.
Should HIMSS cancel, alter, or reschedule some or all of the Conference for any reason, any fees paid or owed will not be refunded. Further, a portion of your Conference fees (including fees for any optional events) may be converted to a credit. If applicable, this credit may be applied to any future HIMSS service or program, excluding HIMSS Global Health Conferences, and must be used on or before December 31, 2024.

What is the cost for additional exhibitor booth staff paid badges?
$255 per badge
What is the cost of exhibitor client paid badges?
$435 per badge until Mach 13, 2023, and then it will increase to $535 per badge.
