HIMSS and the Cleveland Clinic continue to collaborate on the Patient Experience & Consumerization Forum, and this year patient experience and consumerization are more important than ever.

2020 and 2021 were tumultuous years in healthcare and changed the role of the caregiver and patient. We will hear how empathetic care overcame new challenges—in both in-person and virtual settings—due to COVID-19. Speakers will discuss how they maintained the human connection during the pandemic.

Additionally, this year’s event will dig deeper than ever into the consumerization of health—the patient’s demand for access to convenient and affordable care, whether it be things like virtual care, retail clinics or homecare.

As speakers will discuss, in the midst of a pandemic, continuing to personalize the patient experience and boost consumer health engagement are key in improving outcomes and transforming healthcare.

Topics include:

  • Innovations driving patient experience during COVID-19
  • Strategies for engaging patients and consumers as we continue to navigate COVID-19
  • Leveraging technologies to advance patient experience and engagement
  • Addressing critical topics like health disparities and bias and their impact on the patient experience
