Interoperability. What’s Taking So Long?

Wednesday, April 19 at 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM CT
West Building, Level 4 | W474

We’ve come a long way from a healthcare system powered by paper records and fax machines. However, It’s been six years since the 21st Century Cures Act was signed into law and there’s still much to be done before we achieve a truly free, secure, and unencumbered exchange of patient information across the entire industry. In today’s panel discussion, panelists Levi Bailey (Vice President Enterprise Data & Integration Platforms at Humana) and Donald Burgess (Deputy Chief Information Officer, Health & Human Services/OASH), will share their unique perspectives alongside experts from MongoDB and Exafluence on how far we’ve come, the importance of technology and data management in the interoperability debate, and what role the private and public sectors can continue to play in moving us all towards a truly interoperable healthcare system in the United States.

Snacks and refreshments will be served.
